Avoiding These Easy Fixes? You Could Get Stopped By a Cop!

Here at Ray Catena Maserati, we don't know anyone that enjoys being pulled over by the police. Let's face it – when driving a sports car as stylish and dynamic as a Maserati, you may be seen as someone who enjoys what you might call high-octane driving. (There's also a chance you'll get pulled over just because an officer wants to ask you about your real-time 0-60 run...)

In all seriousness, it's important to follow the rules of the road, and to be diligent about vehicle repairs. Doing some of the following things could prevent you from getting pulled over on your next drive.

  • Fix broken headlights or taillights: You need two working headlights, taillights, and turn signal indicators to see where you're going, alert other vehicles and their drivers about where you're going, and make sure others know when you're stopping. If any of the above components on your Maserati aren't working correctly, get them fixed, or risk getting ticketed.
  • Fix your illegible license plate: That means replacing the license plate illumination bulb, or possibly taking off your tinted or plastic license plate cover.
  • Fix your loud exhaust: Your Maserati is supposed to have a pleasantly guttural exhaust note. It's a luxury sports car, after all. Still, you don't want it to sound like a baby making raspberries or a dying cow. Fix your exhaust to prevent this, and potentially save yourself from being fined by law enforcement!
  • Fix your windshield if it's cracked or tinted: You could be fined or ticketed if your windshield is cracked or tinted. Fix it ASAP to avoid this.
